The colour Trends for this winter 2010-2011 2010-09-16
Want to know what the colour trends for this Winter season 2010-11 are?
This autumn and winter 2010 2011, the trend setters want colour! Out with the monochrome and monacal black: We want some colourful pezaz in our wardrobes!
Grey is the new black and we want it as a total look! (Chloé, Stella McCartney, Paul Smith, Nina Ricci...)
Khaki, confirms the army chic influences (Burberry, Marc by Marc Jacobs, Etro...)
Powdered (Sonia Rykiel on cocoon wool, on Dior mousseline )
Wine (Dior, Lanvin, DKNY...)
Nude (Gucci, McCartney , Paul Smith)
Red (Pucci, Givenchy, Sonia Rykiel, Giambattista Valli)
Camel, a no miss colour for a coat (Chloé, Max Mara, Lanvin)
Ivory white (Chanel, Yohji Yamamoto, Calvin Klein)

OK, but how do I wear them?

Red. Has clearly made a comeback and you'll find it with folkloric prints and also in subtle touches like lace or a belt. It's often a dark red with a hint of blue.
In the same scope is Purple which will be winter's star. Between prune, bordeaux and red, Purple will be the must have. We find several shades in this colour such as violet and Prune.
Mustard will be much used to contrast grey or navy blue for a very nice effect.
Blue very present also and will vary from a blue-green hue to navy but is mostly dark.
We still like summer 2009 colours as Shell, Nude and pale pink are still in vogue.
Taupe replaces grey but grey is still very ' in' and varies from very light to very dark.
Green is soft and pale: almond green, seagreen and pine green with a blueish tinge.
Still lots of gold like last winter, in sequin form, but also textiles and leather.
Black is also making a comeback and plays contrast with soft colours such as nude.
So pick some colours and get creating!
